Although Duxtop is not as well-known as All-Clad or Cuisinart, they produce affordable, whole-clad stainless steel cookware.

The Duxtop Whole-Clad Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Induction Cookware Set is available in 9, 10, and 14-piece sets. Each set contains an assortment of sizes and is a high-value purchase.

In this Duxtop Whole-Clad Tri-ply review, we outline the features of this set and the strengths and weaknesses, so you can make an informed buying decision.

What's Included

For the Duxtop Whole-Clad Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 10-piece set, the following items are included:

  • 8" fry pan
  • 10" fry pan
  • 3 qt sauté pan with lid and handle helper
  • 1.6 qt saucepan with lid
  • 3 qt saucepan with lid
  • 6 1/2 qt sauce pot with lid

The 9-piece set does not have a sauté pan and lid. A pot holder is added to the package.

The 14-piece set has the same pieces as the 10-piece set, except it has an 8-qt stockpot with a lid instead of the 6 1/2 qt stockpot. Also, a steamer insert and two trivets are included in the 14-piece set.

What We Like

  • Tri-ply construction extends throughout the base and sidewalls
  • Tight fitting seal on lids
  • Even heat distribution
  • Heats up quickly
  • Requires little heat to cook

What is Not Ideal

Some consumers have commented that the food sticks to the cookware. However, it is important to note the pans heat up quickly, thus requiring little heat to cook.

The tri-ply composition (one layer of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel) of the pieces in the Duxtop whole-clad tri-ply cookware extends through the base and sides of each pot and pan. Many less expensive sets only have tri-ply composition on the base.

The inner layer is 18/10 stainless steel, and the outer is 18/0, making it induction friendly.

This whole-clad tri-ply stainless steel construction eliminates almost all the hot spots so that the heat is distributed evenly from the bottom and sides of the cooking vessel.

The superior bonding technology used in these Duxtop pots and pans provides better cookware performance and a longer lifespan.

This Duxtop cookware set is induction friendly and can also be used on electric, gas, ceramic, and halogen stoves.

The interior has a satin finish while the exterior is polished. The drip-free rim is a nice added feature so that sauces, liquids, and soups can easily be poured into your bowl or storage container.

The lids are stainless steel and fit tightly. These pots and pans are also freezer and dishwasher safe and easily cleaned.

Another great feature of these Duxtop Induction Cookware Sets is the cool-grip handles. They are comfortable and stay cool to the touch even after a long cooking time.

Temperature Capability

Duxtop whole-clad tri-ply cookware is capable of handling extreme temperatures, as well as retaining heat over a prolonged period.

Thanks to the high-quality stainless steel, each item can sustain temperatures up to 550ºF, making them perfect for use in an oven.

This set is versatile because foods can be stored and placed in the freezer.

Duxtop, a brand manufactured by Secura, has developed and produced small appliances for decades. While most of its products are sold online, they are also available through national retailers.

The Cuisinart MCP-12N Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set is another option. The three layers of stainless steel and aluminum core extend through the bottom and sidewalls on both cookware sets.
